you won (and now, you're dead)

you won (and now you’re dead)  [i]
by r. ighteousness

you’re right about that, daddy
you won that fight, my man!
you told that guy who’s boss (you could have acquiesced, or ran)

you won, you’re right, the movie wasn’t even (barely) started!
you’re right about the phone, and he’s the one that should (departed)

you told that guy who’s boss (i’m proud of you and what you said)
now (my son has no dad) you won!
you won (and now, you’re dead)

·         we are soooooooo proud of you, standing up for your cell phone rights.
·         your widow,
·         your children,
·         your friends,
·         your family.

for the rest of our lives, we’ll be able to tell the story about how you won that argument in the movie theater.  heck, you were just texting… and that guy was an asshole!

·         we are soooooo glad that you won that argument… except for the fact that:
o   you won, and now, you’re dead.

Light IS

Light IS [1]
by m. o. onshine

even in the dark of night, when demons steal y/our bliss

even as the people fight (to prove who’s right):

Light IS

  • the sun shines, even when it appears to be dark.
  •  the absence of light is a perspective, not a reality.

stoopid is as stoopid does

stoopid is as stoopid does [i]
by h. u. mandoing

alternative title: ignorance ain’t bliss

ignorance ain’t bliss
thoughts have consequence
thoughts lead to beliefs (leading to acts that make no sense)
leading to a nightmare that we wish there never was

ignorance ain’t bliss, and
stupid is as stupid does

  • this thoem is not inspired by politics.
  • it is inspired by a life form that values itself above all others: a vampirical cancer that fails to see itself in its own projection/reflection.
  • a species that has apparently lost its ability to practice the art (and science) of introspection.
  • a mass of lemmings, allowing a few (powerful) "leaders" to steer us off of a cliff.

…but (shhhhhhhhhhhhhh...) here’s a secret:
  • the "leaders" have no power that we do not freely bestow upon them.
  • they (shockingly enough) need us.

cancer's non-reflection

cancer’s non-reflection [i]
by v. ampire

cancer doesn’t sleep
cancer doesn’t think
cancer doesn’t look upon itself and stop or blink
cancer doesn’t contemplate the future of its kind
cancer doesn’t curb its town delusions of its mind

  • cancer is an interesting dis-ease, insomuch as it commits murder-suicide in the simple act of survival (followed by thrival).
  • cancer is so self-centered that it thinks of itself as more important than its surrounding neighbors, thereby multiplying its own power until it (of course) destroys its own host, thus destroying itself.
  • cancer (we) had a good run.
  • cancer, itself, is done.
