if this is All just ButterFlight

if this is All just ButterFlight

by a. c. aterpillar

if this is All just ButterFlight
if this is just a Dream
if "it's All Good" then why is that (not) just the way it seems?

if "it's All Good" then how can there be poverty and spill?
if this is All just ButterFlight, then why do i feel ill?

* from the Perspective of the Butterfly, the caterpillar stage is understandable.

* from the Perspective of the Butterfly, the cocoon stage is necessary.

* from the Perspective of the Butterfly, All of the previous trials and tribulations are specifically designed to result in the best of the best of ButterFlight.

* from the perspective of the caterpillar, however, legs don't have wings.

* from the perspective of cocooning: suffocation, darkness, and restriction.

maybe the key to All of thIs is a subtle shift, from perspective to Perspective.

question: how can anyone perceive a situation like the oil spill, or 911, or the holocaust... and come out of the negative spiral with a positive inclination?

* if we address the situation at the level at which it was created (e.g. the material world), our attempts may indeed be futile.

* if, however, we can step back, detach a bit, and perceive the situation from a more global or Uni-Versal level, wIe would likely be able to come up with numerous scenarios that would lead to positive feelings.

1. "avoidable oil spill spews sludge on beautiful white-sand beaches."

potential thought-outcomes:

a. maybe the you-man race needs to slow down.

b. maybe we shouldn't allow capitalism to capitalize at will.

c. maybe we (humans) can release the idea of separation, nationality, and differentiality -- and begin to think of ourselves as One: co-inhabitants of a planet.

taste a sip of sweet surrender
go to where you're from
in a world where wIe (pretender), turn to sender:

* when "return to sender" signals a coming home of sorts, it's encouraging to experience sips of sweetness during the (apparent) journey.

* maybe (if life is but a Dream), wIe are already Home.

* maybe (just maybe) the journey is One of enterain'tment, and the Whole ride is designed to chill, to spill, and to thrill.

unfortunately, the sad time has come for this negative post.  ..heaven help us.

this avoidable scenario could prove to be one of the most heartbreaking experiences ever...
...and this -- is just the beginning.

will we learn?

does it appear as if governments and big businesses are learning?

what if this was happening to y/our lungs?

what if the gulf represents the lungs and circulatory system of our planet?

the end.

water is the Perfect metaphorical trinity. ..given a variable (temperature), water can be:

  • liquid: making-up 3/4 of the human body, and 3/4 of mother earth's body

  • gas: the unseen prana that allows (for life)

water is All of the Above. ..oppositical, yet (at the same time) One.

"i inhaled"

"i inhaled"
by e. x. piration

inspiration/expiration (symbiotic stream)
opposites attract in this, a very lucid dream
bury head in sand, or set your wing-to-wing (and sail)
given choice of life or death (a breath) yes:

i inhaled

* any exercise physiologist (or 1st grader) knows that "to not inhale" is to die.

* if life is a series of inspirations and expirations, and if we indeed have an earth-bound choice to play armadillo or eagle, then it's Perfectly Perfect for some to play it cautious while others push the edge. doesn't make one "right" or the other "wrong," but instead it adds flavor to the stew.

* some focus on the inhalation; some focus on the expiration; some hold their breath; and some yell and scream with reckless abandon.

* in the end, we'll all finish this, the human race, and we'll probably have a bit of a laugh during the after-party.

instant weight loss

instant weight “loss”

given: "height" is a determining factor for appearance (in relation to weight). ..that's why b.m.i. (body mass index) has a height coefficient..wha???

since nobody is going to pick us up and carry us around the house (anytime soon),
we can admit that the idea of "weight loss" is more about appearance than weight.
in this post, we are going to address the idea of "appearance" using pounds per inch (ppi).
that's the number of pounds that we weigh, per inch of height.

most humans, over time, lose height because we “slump” into a less efficient standing and/or seated posture.  let’s assume that a 5’8” (198 pounds) individual has “slumped” into a 5’6” stature.

5’6”, 198 lbs = 3lbs per inch (ppi)

let’s say that with a slight posture change and some yoga, to facilitate more of a postural change, the 5’6” person now stands at 5’8”.

the math:
68 into 198 = 2.91 pounds per inch.

this means that the "new" 68-in frame stands .09 fewer ppi.

since 68 x 0.09 = 6.8 lbs, this (same) person will appear to be 6.1 pounds thinner.

we can 'lose' over 5 pounds of 'apparent' weight,
by standing up straight! :)

what are the other benefits of improved posture?
  • improved breathing

  • improved self-esteem

  • Improved physiological processes

    • blood circulation

    • oxygen transport

    • lymphatic circulation

    • metabolism
don't blindly trust wIe, do your own research:

“There are 5 key benefits from maintaining a good posture.

  • Facilitates breathing: A good posture naturally enables you to breathe properly. I started appreciating this after I started meditating regularly a few months back, coupled with a good posture. I found a really a huge difference in the amount of air I could inhale between sitting up straight and slouching. This is why yoga, pilates and meditation exercises pay so much attention on getting your posture and sitting positions right.
  • Increases concentration and thinking ability: When you are breathing properly, you increase your thinking ability too. Our brain requires 20% of oxygen to do its job properly. More air, more oxygen. More oxygen, more brain food. More brain food leads to more thoughts and ideas.
  • Improve your image: People with good postures look smarter and more attractive. Have you ever seen someone with a bad posture and felt the person seemed unkempt, even though the person has not said or done anything yet? On the flip side, someone with a good posture naturally exudes an aura of assertiveness and appeal.
  • Feel even better about yourself: When you have a good posture, it helps to make you feel more self-confident, without even doing anything else different. Try sitting in a bad posture now for 30 seconds. Now, switch to a good posture for 30 seconds as well. Is there any difference in how you felt?
  • Avoid health complications: A bad posture results in several complications over time, such as increased risks of slipped disc, back aches, back pain, pressure inside your chest, poor blood circulation. When I was studying in business school, I had a professor back who suffered from a slip disc when he was younger. Unfortunately, he can’t straighten his back ever since the incident and he now walks with a permanent slouch."

here's the ticket: with a little coaching and a yoga class (or two), you can easily increase your seated and standing height. (wIe?) can lose weight instantly. ..let's go for it!

can you add any additional benefits of improved posture?

the purpose of this post is to flash back to (just a few) moments of Bliss.

given that it is media's job (not fault, but tendency) to focus on less than 1-trillionth of that which could be called "news," it is also possible to re-Member the billions of positive, bliss-full, and often miraculous events that are happening in our world, right Now.

wIe would suggest that y/Our life experience (literally) depends upon that which we tap into, and that our experience depends upon which channel we select. surmises that we control the remote.

...but nobody ever needs to believe this, or anyone, or anything. ..each can tap-into his/her own Knowingness.

tap into Unifying positive forces/pictures/thoughts (such as harmony, nature, nurture, Love, collaboration, cooperation, beauty and Bliss). ..while tapping-in to the positive, might we feel better than when we dwell on the negative?

        statistical analysis

statistics: a mathematical description of the past.

analysis: the process of observation and deduction, often used to predict the future.

statistical analysis: the mathematical description of the past, using the process of observation and deduction, that does nothing more than to give us some-thing to jib-jab about while we live in the present and ponder the future.

again: statistics mean no-thing ..what matters (in this, the manifestation of a non-matter-ial world) is that which we think, that which we focus upon, that which we believe, that which we say and what which we do...

        right here, right now, NOW.
