i can smell your coffee

I can smell your coffee  [1]
by wIe
inspired by someone, describing how
listening to a bruce springsteen song was like
going through a family photo album, and
feeling their feelings, and
smelling their coffee[2]
i can smell your coffee
i can feel your smile
i can sense your heartbeat (even if a little while)
i can slip into your slippers, dream your deepest dream
i can smell your coffee, baby,
i can see your scene

there is no better feeling than when someone can relate, confirm, connect, agree, commune, synergize, and understand …that which you are thinking and feeling.

photographs have that effect, for me.  music, too.  art.

it’s as if you can slip into the artist’s psyche, or (maybe) that they have already slipped into yours.
