everyone/elphaba [1]
by g. reen & d. i. stant

everyone elphaba
everyone is green
everyone (outsider) yet a part of the machine

deep inside (a heart that wishes it was never born)
everyone elphaba
everyone is scorned
every-body has a deeper side (aside/within)
everyone elphaba
everyone can win

everyone elphaba: everyone deserves a friend

in the piece (above) elphaba and glinda (the good) listen as 'madame morrible' falsely accuses elphaba of being a wicked witch.  this solidifies glinda and elphaba's friendship, although they part ways: glinda opting for 'the perfect marriage' and elphaba deciding to fight oz' abuse of Animals.

during the process, elphaba fulfills oz' prediction (that "everyone deserves the chance to fly") by casting a spell that creates a flying broomstick.

a couple of her signature lines are:

"i might be flying solo; at least i'm flying free!"
"...and nobody in all of oz, no wizard that there is or was, is ever gonna bring me down!"

-the end?
