video (gift exchange 2009): a flashback

you asked for it: this is what happens every Thanks-Giving, at the martineau family gift exchange.

the video was made by ashley and brian, and it gives you an idea of what happens during the actual "exchange" portion of the event. ..this year, the hot-seat was cooled-down, slightly.

the video (a gift that keeps on Give-ing) is about an hour long, but you can skip around for the highlights. ..the way to skip around is to allow the video to play for a little bit, and then (using your mouse at the lower part of the screen) you'll be able to scroll ahead:

(we go with kids first, elders last, in [of Course] reverse-chrono.logical order)

  3. clare, clare, clare...

i've watched the video (in full) at least three times, and (in pieces) several other times.

EVERY single time, i'm grateful that mom was wise enough to birth the G.E. in the first place!

i'm grateful for family, for laughter, and for experiences like this -- the once-in-a-lifetime moments that we, We, wIe are privy to, sooooooo, so often.

we, my sister, are lucky, Lucky, LUCKY souls!
    :)
    Love, lenny

  4. Truly milk for the soul!

Especially living so very far from all of you (in miles only, you are with me every day in heart), it is an oasis to be able to watch these videos and know that even when I feel far from my family, I am part of something so big, that distance becomes irrelevant.

I am continually shocked (and awed) at what an amazing family I have!

  5. brainman!

you said it all. i've met many, many, MANY people who'd give EVERYthing that they own for one day of the kind of LOVE that the martineau family experiences on a regular basis.

let me add that YOU, my friend/brother/nephew -- provide a positive, passionate glow of HAPPINESS, everywhere that you go (and you bring it to everyone you meet).

i'm continually awed by relatives like YOU, the LOVE-ing, Caring, Giving souls who wIe are lucky enough to embrace.

    you da MAN!
    Love,
    uncle len
