a kind word for representative patrick kennedy, r.i.

say what you want about politicians...






...but, yesterday, representative patrick kennedy (r.i.) honored my father in a way that felt very genuine (to me). ..pat spoke about his respect for all veterans, and emphasized the significance of what it means to be a veteran of world war II.

representative kennedy's office was filled with memorabilia, including pictures like these (below) that exude compassion, courage and sacrifice.


the kennedy family has endured... through situations that are simply impossible to relate to.

for a moment, this experience was sooooo far removed from politics -- and sooooo personal... that it can't be described (here) in words.

patrick, we appreciate you, for taking the time to honor our father, mother and family. ..it was an experience that we will never forget.
