the curious case of benjamin button

.
it doesn't matter how well you play (the music)...

................................it matters how you feel (when you play it).

soooooooooooooooooooo True.
.
the words of wisdom (above) are relayed from the piano teacher to brad pitt (benjamin button) as he goes through the typical growing pains associated with becoming young.

.

.

sidenote: i was trying to remember the line from the movie, so i went online and stumbled onto several harsh "critiques." ..what truly amazes me are the professional (and armchair) movie critics who denounce this movie (as horrendous, racist, sexist, etc., etc.).
.
as always, critics say a lot more about themselves than that which they criticize.
.
i feel for those who cannot help but find fault with every, single experience in this, the great Move-ie that we've decided to label "life."

.
but then again... whenever we criticize, maybe (in that moment) we're simply choosing to experience a downer of a Move-ie. ..heck, some people pay good money to see horror shows.

note to self: what does it mean when one criticizes a critic? ..(oooops)

  3. Some people just don't get it. Life is too short to be so negative. Life is great, even when there are challenges.

    Love ya,

  4. Jean,

It is beautiful for you to say that, especially considering the challenges that you've faced (head-on, I might add) during the past year.

You give life to the piano teacher's line... "it matters HOW YOU FEEL when you play it."

Feelings, both Heavenly and hellacious, allow us to experience this life in a thick, rich, vibrant manner.

Let's continue to play, to FEEL, and to live it up!
    :)
    Love,
    Lenny
