a thanksgiving prayer

the prayer (below) was written and recited by josephine t. martineau on thanksgiving day.

it reads as follows:

A Thanksgiving Prayer - by josephine (femino) martineau

Lord, we are gathered as a family today to enjoy All Your Blessings. Thank you for the beautiful children you have entrusted to our Care. May we guide them by our example.

Help us to put aside all our differences, and love each other more. Let us remember all those who could not be with us today, but are here in Spirit. Thank you for keeping us safe each day, as we strive to do your will. We are grateful for having been given the gift of health in order to continue our work on earth.

For this we truly Thank You.

this prayer was recited again, at the gift exchange, by steven a. martineau

  1. What a beautiful prayer, right from the heart of a beautiful woman. Hope your gift exchange was fun, can't wait to hear all about it!

    Love ya,

  2. Perfectly said, Jean!

Yes, it was one of the best Gift Exchange experiences ever (although I'm kind of partial to all of them).

I'll whip up a post about it, when I can stay online for more then a few minutes!!
