it is interesting to note that the university of hawaii's mascot is the "rainbow warrior." ..back in 1982, they were simply known as "the rainbows." ..it kind of gives you a sense of where we were -- and how far we've evolved :) .
.

maybe by 2012 they'll be "the Light."
.
on the hawaiian islands, it is usually raining and sunning simultaneously, which means that there are lots of rainbows.
.
it's saturday, and tonight, the university of hawaii football team will play at home, against the idaho vultures.
.
should i go?

...anyway...

this rainbow stuff brought to mind a picture on james martineau's blog (it's called "the 'neau net... because 'neau news is good news."). ..not only is the (below) picture a great shot of a rainbow, but it also reveals the secret to "the pot, at the end of the rainbow."
.
larry the cable guy would probably say: "now that's funny!"
.
clare, did you take this photo?

Lenny, you talked about rain and sunshine happening simultaneously. We are at a place that is 9 degrees inside and 70 degrees outside. How can this be? We are in Orlando visiting the Gaylord Palms Ice exhibit. It is awesome! We saw 2 million pounds of ice and slide down ice slides in huge parkas. We will also enjoy the 80 degree pool after we get done. We are making a gingerbread house today with pastry chefs and will find the last of the hidden knomes. As you can see, we are having a blast! For those of you reading this from Florida, we highly recommend everyone do this. We will be back!

  3. Alas, no, I did not take the photo...but I sure wish I had!! It certainly makes a statement, as only a few photos seem to do.

I posted it on the 'neau net on one of my 'cynical' days.

    xoxoxo, me

    1. Unfortunately, there were no rainbows on Saturday (no sun). Wwaaaaaaaa. Please tell more about the night rainbow.

    2. That ice exibit sounds like a road-trip! It's ON!!!

    3. Does that picture represent how the stock market seems to work, at times?
