it's cold down here

spent last night in greymouth, n.z., and took the coach today down to franz josef, where it rains one minute, snows the next, with sunshine & warm shortly thereafter.
.
tomorrow (weather permitting), it will be a half-day glacier climb. ..after all, you might as well climb a glacier while we still have glaciers.

  2. Look at all those people wearing jumpers! (jerseys in NZ speak). If you are shopping for something warm, look for the Icebreaker brand. The warmest, lightest, finest merino wool product on the market - NZ grown and made. A little expensive, but you will not find a better jumper anywhere. Let them extol the virtues to you in the shop, and believe every word.

I cut short my Australia adventure b/c I just HAD to sneak over to New Zealand. I'm not sure why :)

    Claude,

I must say that I already miss Byron Bay and the Australian hospitality. Not to mention Byron Bay's Wild Kingdom!
    .
Please tell all of my new Aussie friends that I say "Hey, mates," and that I need a job.
    .
    Smiles,
    Lenny

  5. I saw the two peters (back lane and dukie) this morning at the farmers' market. both said to say hello, and back lane tells me he didn't pull up so well on monday (did not have the benefit of the post-sesh pizza). anyway, they both asked after you and wished you all the best. i told them you will be back, and they did not doubt.

  6. Hi, you should have travelled on nakedbus. They are far cheaper with their prices starting from $1 and have incredible service!
