all good things must come to an end

in the (above) title, the key word is "things" (also, the 'g' in 'good' is lower-case)...hmmmmm.
that which is not a "thing" is Eternal.
.
anyway...
.
it's the last night in new zealand (waaaaaaaaaaa!). .tomorrow, the trek moves on to fiji (which is ridiculously unfathomable)!
.
there's a good chance that, in fiji, there will be little (if any) access to the internet. .fiji has a main island, and a chain of hundreds of remote islands. ..the plan is to get remote. ..that means very limited communication, for about a week.
.
if you get bored, due to a lack of new posts, you can always scroll back through some of the older posts, where you'll find:
.
1. more pictures have been inserted in some,
2. spelling errors (when sighted), have been corrected, and
3. your fellow readers' comments (below the posts) are much more interesting than my posts.
.
if you can't sleep at night, you can also click on "poem of the day" at wellnesseducation.us. ..joal martino (lenny's alter-ego) has posted at least one thoem for every day of the year. all you do is...
1. click on "poem of the day,"
2. click on a month,
3. click on a thoem
.
look up your birthdate's thoem, or you can see if a title catches your eye (e.g. "the bipolar, expressed" always makes me chuckle, around Christmas).
.
some of these thoems may take a second or two longer to load, if they have picture files embedded, but that just means that they are worth the wait.
.
i've posted some of my mother's poetry, as listed below:
.
poems by josephine martineau:
.
-12 august... first born (2007)
-21 august... a dream (1946)
-28 october... the ideal companion (1947)
.
In-Joy!

  1. Have a lovely time in Fiji. I'm sure you'll enjoy the locals, the 'fiji time' and the water/beaches. If you're in Nadi, go to Ed's Bar. If you want to drink beer, have the Fiji Gold, not the fiji bitter (headache after one). Hang on, did I just say "IF you want to drink beer" ahahhahhahahha. Sometimes I crack myself up. Tell Karen at Beachcomber Island (dive shop) I said 'g'day' (remind her that she met me at Kadavu Island and that I was in Fiji to study). She's a kiwi and she's a lovely bundle of enthusiasm.

  2. Aloha Lenny! As wild a trip this has been, this next part to Fiji might be the best of ALL! You know the routine - take lots of pictures and notes on the exploits. We'll be anxiously anticipating the blogs. Live it Live it Live It! Someday the rest of us wishers may take the chance to go there. Until then, we're with you mate. Truely wish we were there. SOMEDAY! Until then -WE'LL DREAM. Aloha, Willy,Judy, and the girls

  3. I'm going to miss communicating w/ you, yet I'll be w/ you in spirit...so soak up all of the "aquatherapy" that you can for both of us crazy "aquaholics!" And what the hell!...drink a Fiji Gold for me, too!
I'll look forward to hearing from you when you return...
    Love,
    Cat

  4. It is not that all good things must come to an end ,it is more that you have been on the rising scale so long ,so now you just have to have a little dip back into reallity . Nobody says that you aren't allowed to keep soaring in that incrediable space you have encountered on these out of the world places , they will forever be embedded in your heart and give you inspiration beyond your imagination.
    love and hugs ,britta
