the lisu mountain tribe

on saturday night, we jumped into pickup trucks and drove up the side of lanna mountain to visit the lisu mountain tribe. they showed us around the villiage, and then we each received a personal blessing from the shaman. they cooked us traditional thai food, and then they dressed the ladies up into traditional clothing for some campfire-dancing.

.
rhonda, susan, and several others brought gifts for the children and capped-off the evening with a christmas-like celebration of giving and receiving.
