jogging in chaing mai

today, i went jogging in chaing mai, the second largest city in thailand.
.
in chaing mai, the air and the environment is much cleaner than in bangkok.
.
when you jog here, you have two options:
.
you can wear a t-shirt, which will turn into a wet t-shirt in two seconds -- leaving you feeling like a jogging pad thai (noodle)...
.
.........................................................or...
.
you can jog without a shirt, and every thai lady will look at you, then smile, then blush, then put her hand over her mouth, and then whisper something to her friends before they all giggle.
.
for some reason, i chose plan b.
.
it was a sunday, and there is no way to describe what it was like, jogging past a group of nuns who were on their way to church.

.
it's different with the thai men, who are usually friendly and smiling as you jog on by.
.
i usually give them a running "namaste" (blight bow, hands in prayer position) as i jog by. usually they'll smile and say something in thai, and it sounds like it must be something like "go for it!" "way to go, bro!" or something like that.
.
actually, they could be saying "get out of my neighborhood, you crazy rhode islander," and i'd never know, but they say it in such a positive tone...
